THE AWAKENING-Igniting a movement
This week in Gainesville, GA a movement is beginning. A movement that will be called a “move of God.” A movement that, if it gains momentum will pull more and more of our young people into its deception.
Speak out against it and you may be labeled disunifying, lacking in grace and blind to the Spirit’s moving.
Stay silent and allow the name of our faithful Savior Jesus Christ to be dishonored.
Thousands of alumni of the World Race and Adventures in Missions will gather to “ignite the movement” . It will call our young people to live out:
Their Kingdom authority
They will bring the Kingdom.
This awakening was a dream that Andrew Shearman, co-founder of the World Race and the 42nd generation had. Seth Barnes, founder of Adventures in Missions, is determined to bring this to reality. A dream from God? A dream that 100,000 trained leaders would rise up. What will they be trained in? Sharing the Gospel? No.
They will raise the dead
They will heal the sick
They will bring the Kingdom
Seth Barnes and Andrew Shearman are pulling our children into the darkness of their theology enticing and luring them with the greatness they can achieve. (James 1:14)
No mention of the Gospel, the Cross, the Glory of Christ, the Holiness of God…. Nowhere.
Whose Kingdom are they ushering in?
They are flying under the radar, “unnoticed”. (Jude 4) Why is this? 100,000 leaders? That is massive outreach.
They want to “set the world ablaze” and “ignite a movement”.
We are commanded to “snatch them from the fire”. (Jude 23) Ironic.
Mike wrote about this 4 years ago.
Will you help “contend earnestly”, expose the error of this organization and call our young people back to a love for the Glory of God and His Word? Please help by talking about this in your families, examining God’s Word to see if what they teach is true, making your pastors aware, ceasing your support of young people on the World Race, teaching sound doctrine in Sunday School so they themselves may be discerning and above all else be praying to our Heavenly Father who is eternal, infinite and unchanging in His perfect wisdom and sovereignty.
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 24-25)
