More Alternatives to the World Race

November 7, 2017 by missionsandmysticism

We are encouraged that one of our most popular posts has been “Alternatives to the World Race” We have another list to share, but PLEASE do your own homework.  We are not personally watching any of these to ensure they stay doctrinally sound. We have been on their sites and like what we see, but discernment is always necessary.

ABWE International

“While God continues to humble us and teaches us new things each day, we have more than 85 years of experience sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ with people in more than 70 countries around the world. We remain rooted in conservative, baptistic theology, but we strive to stay relevant, effective, and adaptable to the diverse cultures where we minister.”

From their blog :  “Missions is meaningless without the gospel. And it’s the heart of the gospel—justification by faith—that the Reformers took their lives in their hands to proclaim. It would be false to say that the gospel was “lost” prior to the Reformation. The Lord Jesus promised to build his church and defend it against all attacks (Matthew 16:18)…Sola fide—faith alone. Sola gratia—grace alone. Solus Christus—Christ alone. Sola scriptura—Scripture alone. Soli Deo Gloria—glory to God alone. The five solas embody the biblical gospel recovered through the Reformation…In the grand scheme of history, it may be that God’s work in the world is just getting started. More than 2 billion people remain without access to the gospel. As we look back on the last 500 years, let’s look forward to the next 500—should the Lord tarry—and all the work yet to be done.”

Biblical Ministries Worldwide

“Our teams go where the gospel isn’t, and seek to plant churches where they aren’t through compassionately and contagiously sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, intentionally encouraging and equipping other believers to grow in their faith, and developing godly leaders to guide the communities.”

Doctrinal Statement and Opportunities

“The vision of Christar is to cultivate Christ-honoring transformation in communities where He is yet to be worshiped. Christ-honoring transformation speaks to the process as well as the outcome. In the establishment of indigenous churches, we pursue a Christ-honoring influence on the community at large. As workers who partner with God in His work, we are a part of the transformation process that God is bringing about. God’s promise in Revelation 5:9 is clear. People from every tongue, tribe, people and nation will worship God in eternity. Our vision is to go to those people who are not accounted for in the eternal roll call of nations!”

Doctrinal Statement and Opportunities in Education and Deaf Ministries

Ethnos 360 (New Tribes Missions)

“We minister among unreached people groups: In 2,500 of the world’s 6,500 people groups, there is no church, nor is there any work being done to establish a church. These are the people among whom Ethnos360 works. We work in the culture and language of the people: These people groups’ cultures and languages have isolated them from the gospel. Missionaries must learn their language and understand their culture in order to clearly present the gospel and effectively plant a church. We present foundational Bible teaching:
Unreached people groups have no concept of the God of the Bible. So Bible teaching begins at the same place God began with His chosen people: at the beginning. Chronological Bible teaching presents a foundation for understanding Jesus’ death and resurrection. We establish mature churches: Following the pattern seen in Acts as God’s people carried out the Great Commission, missionaries seek to establish mature churches that can take their rightful place as agents of change in their own communities and partners in the Great Commission.”
